1. Tea Leaf Salad (Lahpet Thoke)
Myanmar is one of the very few countries where tea is eaten as well as drunk. Lahpet is fermented tea leaf. These tea leaves are used to make tea leaf salad and are used for snacks, appetizers or eating along with rice.
However, local people warned that it should not be overused since it is considered a stimulant. If you eat it too much, you can lose sleep like drinking too much tea.
2. Mohinga Soup
It is considered as an unofficial national dish. Most roadside stalls and carts in the downtown or local market serve Mohinga soup as breakfast. A hearty, pungent fish broth is flavored with lemongrass, turmeric, and pepper, which swirls around slippery thin glass noodles. 3. Mont Lin Ma Yar
Mont Lin Ma Yar, known as “husband and wife snacks” or “couples’ snack”, having toppings such as quail eggs, scallions, or roasted chickpeas that are added to half of the dollops, and then, like a husband and wife, the two halves are joined to make a little round cake.

4. Shan Noodles
Shan is the typical noodle of Shan - ethnic people in northern Myanmar. The dish is the perfect combination of thin noodles and chicken, marinated pork, with roasted sesame seeds and garlic flavor, served with pickled vegetables and broth.
Strange, delicious taste, "eye-catching" appearance are the reasons why Shan's noodles become the first choice of many tourists to Myanmar.

5. Samosa salad
This samosa potato salad takes on the flavors of the traditional Indian appetizer and is loaded up with green peas, chickpeas, rice, cashews, and toasted coconut shavings. The whole samosas are snipped apart with scissors and mixed with fried chickpeas, fried shallots, cabbage, and slices of potatoes.

6. Mont Lone Yay Paw
It is a unique and traditional appetizer that is normally eaten on the occasion of Thingyan festival. However, today, it is not uncommon to see that dish in every corner of Yangon, Myanmar.
The name “Mont lone yay paw” literally means "round snack on the water" in Burmese, as it's made by boiling up balls of rice dough which bob along on top of the bubbling water when they're ready to eat. Mont lone yay paw is usually served on a square of banana leaf and occasionally scattered with grated coconut if such a luxury is available.
7. Kyay Oh
It is a popular noodle soup made with pork and egg in Burmese cuisine. The material is rice noodles and marinated meatballs. Kyay Oh gives you lots of options: pork, seafood or mixed, in soup or dry, and with rice noodles or wantons.
